Excursion and Conference Dinner Information
11 July 2019
The bus to the excursion will depart at 13h00 on Thu 11 July 2019 from the location indicated Campus Map for the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre. After the conference excursion, the bus go directly to the conference dinner venue: De Kloof Restaurant. After the conference dinner, the bus will return participants again to the point where it departed from.
Fourth announcement

This is the fourth and final announcement for the conference “Positivity X”. Please note the information below.
Conference venue and access to the campus:All talks will take place in the Engineering III building on the Hatfied campus of the University of Pretoria, see the campus map. The campus can be entered via the gates in Lunnon Street, Prospect Street, Lynnwood Road and University Road, see the map on the conference website.
On the first day of the conference, please bring a printout or electronic copy of the “Access Letter” emailed to you in order to gain access to the campus. For the remainder of the conference, you will be able to enter campus using your conference name-tag.
Conference program:A detailed program will be available on the website by July 1. Contributed talks will be 20 minutes with an additional 5 minutes for questions; plenary talks will be 50 minutes with 5 minutes for questions. Note that the excursion and conference dinner has moved to Thursday 11 July.
Proceedings:The proceedings of this conference, edited by Eder Kikianty, Mokhwetha Mabula, Miek Messerschmidt, Jan Harm van der Walt and Marten Wortel, will be published by Birkhäuser as a book in their Trends in Mathematics series. All participants can submit, and both research papers and survey papers are welcome. The contributions will be subject to a serious refereeing procedure.
The contract terms foresee one free copy of the proceedings for the first-mentioned (or the corresponding) author of each contribution.
In case of acceptance, the authors are responsible for converting their file to the style as required by Birkhäuser. It is not necessary to use this style when initially submitting your paper.
The deadline for submission is 1 February, 2020. For all communication concerning the proceedings, including submission, the conference's email address positivityconference2019@gmail.com will be used.
Future additional information will be made available through the conference's website, and an email will be sent to all participants when new information has been posted.

Third announcement

This is the third announcement for the conference “Positivity X”, which is devoted to ordered structures and their applications. The conference will be held from 8 to 12 July 2019 at the Hatfield campus of The University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa. We are happy to announce that official registration is now open, and we ask that you register on the conference website.The conference fees are as follows:
- Registration: ZAR 2070
- Conference dinner (optional): ZAR 500
- Conference excursion (optional): ZAR 460
- Cocktail function (optional): Free of charge for participants. ZAR 334 per accompanying person.
Please take note of the following deadlines:
- 31 May 2019: Deadline for registration.
- 7 June 2019: Deadline for submission of abstracts.
- 7 June 2019: Deadline for payment of registration and other fees.
- 26 April 2019: Deadline for application for financial support (PhD and MSc students only. Limited funds available. Application indicated on registration form).
Once you have registered, you will receive an email from the conference email address, with a link to your letter of invitation and payment instructions.
Abstract submission has opened. Please submit your abstract via the conference website using only the provided LaTeX template. Contributed talks are planned to be 20 minutes each.
The cocktail function will be held on Monday, 8 July.
The conference excursion will take place in the afternoon of Wednesday, 10 July.
Participants may choose to visit either the
Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre OR the
Lesedi Cultural Village.
The conference dinner will be held in the evening of Wednesday, 10 July Thursday, 11 July,
following the excursion, at the Waterkloof Golf Club.
The dinner will be catered by the award winning De Kloof Restaurant.

Second announcement

This is the second announcement for the conference “Positivity X”, which is devoted to ordered structures and their applications. The conference will be held from 8 to 12 July 2019 at the Hatfield campus of The University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa. It is jointly organized by the University of Pretoria and the University of Johannesburg. We are happy to announce that over 100 participants have already pre-registered. If you count among these, we thank you for this. Official registration will open in March, and we ask that, if you intend to participate in the conference, you register on the conference website.

This is the first announcement for the conference "Positivity X". This is the tenth in a series of conferences devoted to ordered structures in analysis and their applications. The conference will be held from 8 to 12 July 2019 at the Hatfield campus of The University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa. It is jointly organized by The University of Pretoria and The University of Johannesburg.
If you are interested in attending the conference, please pre-register. Pre-registration places no obligation on you to attend the conference, and serves only as an indication of your interest.
